Half day retreats and longer retreats

Usually we offer a half day retreat once a month (on the third Saturday of the month) in Orlando. Join us at a regular Sunday evening practice to find out more.

Yong Maeng Jong Jin (YMJJ) means “to leap like a tiger while sitting” a Korean term traditionally used to describe intensive Zen meditation.

We join others for YMJJ (3 day retreats) in Gainesville or South Florida.

The Southflorida-YMJJ by the will be January 20-23  (Thursday evening arrival for early Friday morning start, ending Sunday at 10am.).  Zen Master Bon Haeng (Mark Houghton) will be the retreat teacher. Please see http://www.southfloridazen.org/winter2011ymjj.html   for more information.

The following weekend, January 28-30, a YMJJ in Tallahassee, with the Cypress Tree Zen Group is from Friday evening to Sunday. The retreat teacher will be ken Kessel, JDPSN.More information can be found here: http://webdharma.com/ctzg/PDF/Ken_Kessel_retreat.pdf

March 4-6 will be the YMJJ in Gainesville with more information to follow soon.

Retreat is a time to look inside and investigate our life.

It is an opportunity to clear our mind of habitual thinking and access our wisdom and compassion.

It points to the state of clarity and wisdom we experience that is both relaxed and wide like space, and clear and meticulous as the tip of a needle, so that we can use our experience to help ourselves and this world, moment to moment.
